This is pretty...pretty scary
This morning map my run says I ran 11.5 miles and the foot pod says 12.5. Looks like I will always have to map it. Maybe I need to tell the foot pod I have a small stride.

Ahh, but maybe the map isn't to scale, or there are some topographical errors in the production of the maps ;-).
You're doing such a fantastic job of things anyway, it could be 12.5 miles.
