Guess what...

I ran 15.5miles last night, woohoo. How very cool. I am a little soar not bad. I felt great when I was done. Just some aches in my joints and quads. I also meet up with Nancy today she sold me a heart rate monitor from our gym. I can not wait to try it out. She is actually going to meet with me to help me find my anaerobic threshold. I even got one with a foot pod, woohoo.

I never got to ride the bike because it had a bolt missing. I had it fixed it is now ready. The guy at the bike shop said the bike is to big and heavy for me. He told me not to bother putting clip-less peddles on it. So, I am saving my shoes for when I have a good bike. He said that my bike is heavy and I will work hard to get in all 12 miles during the triathlon. The good news is for $45 I got the brake fixed the tire fixed and the gears going right. I am having lots of computer problems and can not comment on blogs or log into the blends forum. I am checking blogs just can't always comment. So hi everyone.

Still loving the short hair. Sorry no pictures yet. I can't quite get Natasha to aim the camera quite right. Someday I will have someone to hang out with old enough to use one. Well I hope.
OK so I lost some post and can't spell check it screws it all up. So, this is what ya get.
Have a great day everyone.

Christening

My sister in law sent me some pictures. YEAH! This is Sunday when I became a God mother to my very first Nephew. How very cool.

Back at last..

Were back from visiting Massachusetts. My bed felt awesome last night ahhhh. It is great to be home. Last night I ran and got the decorations for Natasha birthday party on Sunday. I got all the ingredients I need to make her a cake. We are very picky about what we feed Natasha and she only gets cake once a year on her birthday. This year she gets whole wheat carrot cake in the shape of Blue the dog. She loves that show and gets excited every time she sees any type of paw print. My in laws fly in tomorrow and will be staying with us. This will probabaly ruin the weekend for me. I've to do my 16 hour day then I have the party and to deal with my mother in law will put me over the edge. They will be staying on our couch and I need to be up every morning should be interesting. Today I am busy making cake getting ready for house guest and un packing. If Janel can do it I can for sure. I already washed the towels, unpacked Natasha, baked coffee cake, scrubbed the bathroom and washed the oven. I have my "J" cape on ;)

Other then that I chopped my hair off. It is above my shoulders, just long enough for a pony tail. I can't wait to see how much better it feels getting out from a swim. I can't share pictures since I left my cord to the camera at my moms. My father in law is bring it so maybe I can up load some thing for you Monday. Natasha is still having problems. She is better just not 100%. I see the doctor Monday for a 2 year old well visit. OK got go peel some carrots.

My goal this week to run a total of 22 miles. Just 5 more to go!! woohoo

Vacation...

Hi, I have a moment so thought I would do a quick update. It has been a long trip already and we still have a few more days. Natasha has been kind of sick for 4 days now. Today I am beyond tired and yesterday my stomach ache kicked in. We are having fun for the most part. Just gets hard with an almost 2 year old and being house guests. Natasha seems to be having fun in spite of being a little sick. I did cancel our planed trip to the beach yesterday for fear of her dehydration.

The race on Sunday was lots of fun. The night before was not so much fun. I had to meet up with my friend who was giving me a number to run. She had some last minute things to do so I ended up meeting her a few towns over at 8:30pm. I had Natasha and my sister with me so by the time Natasha got some dinner it was getting late. I needed to eat myself and get her to bed. By the time we got back in town Natasha was crying to go to bed, it was 10:30pm by the time I got her there. I was afraid to skip dinner the night before the race so I ate late. Got my clothes together and map to the race. I got everything together I would need the next morning. By this time it was getting late. Natasha wasn't feeling good and my mom wasn't either. This meant they were staying home in the morning I had to get myself to Woods Hole and get to the shuttle to get to the start. When I was given the number I was informed I was an official volunteer working at the start. That sounded very cool to me...but meant I had to get there a little early. I ended up getting to bed at 1:30am. Not good at all. I woke up at 5:45 got dressed grabbed all my stuff and headed out. I ate on the road and made to the cape through 4 roundabout without getting lost. I deserve a gold medal for that. I made way on the 1 mile walk to the shuttle to the start stood in the Porto potty line and found a bus. The tiredness was setting in and at this point I wished I brought my banana with me. I got to the start and did some people traffic control and helped a sick girl get to her parents. That held me up enough to prevent me from getting a chance to warm up and stretch. The wheel chair racer left first. I got to help bring down the last group to be let off at the start. It was pretty cool. Unfortunately I was hungry and thirsty by now. My group was set to be released at 10:24, four hour since I ate breakfast. We all walked the group to the start and waited for our gun. We removed our official volunteer shirts and joined the group. Being in the last group meant I had to work my way around people the entire time. The race was crowded and the amount of people around never let through the entire 7 miles. I made sure I ate a few orange slices along the way. For a race this short I would normally skip the water stations but did grab water at least 4 times. I thought I would need since I was starting in rough shape. It was a hot sunny day and all along the beach it felt like the sun wouldn't let up. One of the hills put me in slow motion. Overall I was surprised how good I felt. I had fun and slapped hands with the kids along the way. Some groups of spectators had music and hoses to help us along the way. The fnish line was fun. I clocked myself at 55 minutes. This was very awesome and can not help wonder how well I could have done. If only was rested and fluid to go from the start. I went from the finish line to the snack and had the best pop-sickle of my life. Lime fruit bar by Bryers, I highly recommend it. In the end I am surprised I don't feel soar. I do have some sun on my nose and checks. My hamstring are little tight overall I feel good. It was fun. If I had run under my own name I would have qualified for a spot closer to the star next year and Boston.

I keep having issues with my blogger hope this comes up OK. I had to start some of the text over. Then the bottom was on the top. Hope my post comes out.

TRAINING......

Well finished up another weekend at work. Yesterday was rough I haven't been that tired in a long time. Today I will be packing me and Natasha for our trip to Massachusetts. We have to leave here at 4:00am tomorrow. Other then that I am just trying to get some training in for the triathlon. I was reading some different schedules and it just made me see how far behind I am. At this point I wont be able to catch up with it all. The race is September 9th that gives me just 4 weeks to be ready. I am going to do what I can. I can't make up for lost weeks so I am just going to focus on training the best I can before race day. Training last week was only a few days but the workouts where good, I had two 60 min. spin classes and after one I got a chance to run a mile and see how that feels. After riding the bike my legs where tight. I did make it to the lap pool for a 400 meter swim. Plus two runs a 4.5 miler and a 10 miler. I had to wait for the heat to brake last week to run. The 10 mile run was Thursday at 5:00am. This way the sun wasn't up when I left. The run took 1 hour 33 min. and was my first 10 mile run since the 1/2 marathon in October. So, I am at the start of a new week and Sunday I swam 600 meters in the pool before work. Today I scheduled myself a short run. I am back to logging my training and planning my schedule weeks in advance. I think this will help me feel ready. I can't wait to get to MA to get the bike. My father in-law got Danny's old bike a tune up. It came to $72 dollars and he says it rides fine with new tiers and washed gears. I also got a new pair of cycle shoes thanks to my friend at work. She is doing awesome I got her into running last April and last week she ran a 16 miler in preparation for the Detroit marathon. So that is about it for now just packing and training. My mom does finally have a computer so I should be able to check in. I run the Falmouth Road Race Sunday the 13th. That is all for now have run Natasha just woke up.

Light House mile 1

That is the light house at mile one of the Falmouth Road Race. I have been there 4 times. When I was little my moms work use to sponsor the race. She was the banner at the one mile mark. I went with her 2 out of the three years she worked this spot. When I was in seventh grade me and my cousin ran it together. We were under trained but it was a big deal for us. The forth time I was at this light house was when my boss got me to run it again in 2001. I thought I was awesome because I did it in under 2 hours. The race runs along the shore on Cape Cod. It is always full of talent. The Kenyans warm up by running from the finish line to the start. They even have wheel chairs that lead the race. It is an amazing site! The first mile is packed and it is a wave of people winding the road. I tried to enter this race when I found out I would be in Massachusetts the weekend of the race. The registration was closed by then I couldn't afford the charity entry of $750 dollars. I gave up on running it and found my self the triathlon sprint in Lowell for the same morning. I just got the news from a friend that she has a number for me to run Falmouth. How shocking after being let down that I couldn't enter and then looking forward to the triathlon. As soon as I found out I had a number in Falmouth I knew I could give up the sprint tri for a seven mile race. The answer to my dilemma was to find another triathlon to do. That is what I did! I am even more excited about this sprint triathlon then the original. It will be September 9th in Monroe MI. I paid for my spot switched out my weekend shift and got a babysitter. This means I get to do both! Speaking of Monroe Steve you up for a triathlon? You can do it it's a short one.

Do you know what this is???!!!

I had the best sleep..

It was getting late the clock said 10:15pm. I was wishing I was tired so I could get some sleep....so I decided to make myself tired. I got that swim in at 10:30 and it almost didn't happen. I am glad I went just a slow 500 meters in the lap pool. Today I am taking Natasha to grandma's to swim. The heat wave is peaking today should feel like 110. Stay cool everyone.
