Happy Halloween!!!!

It has been a long week. It was a whirlwind and I don not even know where to start catching up. I flew out the day after the marathon. We did not get to my moms till 2am Tuesday. Natasha was great considering our first flight was one hour before bed time and the second flight was delayed in DC. The service for Uncle Lev went fine. The priest came to the graveyard and said a prayer and then a couple of us stayed to see them bury the box of his ashes. We flew home the next day and you should never fly out at 6 am we had to be out of the house by 3am. Natasha adjusted well she was great and I was happy to have an extra set of arms, my sister Lori was with us for the trip. I spent Friday getting Lori's stuff out of her apartment. It is a long story but again I don't not recommend moving jet lagged on 3 hours of sleep and emotional drained. Then came the weekend and I worked my two 16 hour days. Danny made me an appointment when he went to get his teeth cleaned. So, I had to get out of bed thanks Danny I do not need sleep it is over rated hehe. Anyway no cavities and I have never had any and am glad to here I wont be drilled do not know what it is like but I will pass thanks.

I got Natasha in her dog costume today. She took a step all by herself today it was exciting. She does not want to try again but me and Lori saw her she can step without holding my hand. I took her to Danny's work so he could see her in her costume. She had fun running around (holding hands of coarse).

My legs are killing me I think I will have an MRI Saturday to see how it looks. I was taking time off from running but I just might need 6 weeks if I have a stress fracture. Danny's birthday is next Monday so I am trying to think of something fun we can do. He has the entire day off so we will be able to go out at night. I am taking Natasha trick or treating to a few houses near my sister. I dont think she is intrested but we will see how she does.

1/2 marathon woohooo!!!!!

The race was so much fun. I went into Detroit with Danny and we meet up with Linda (I work with her and got her running).Linda came with her husband and her two girls, babycakes was still in bed. We all made are way to the starting line and lined up at the porto potty. The line was long lots of lines in front of everyone. We herd the national anthem and the release of the wheel chairs. Still waiting in line. Then they had the marathoners and 1/2 marathoners line up. We are still in line for the darn porto potty. They count down the minutes to the start of our race, but we are still in line at the dame porto potty. They get the air horn ready 20 sec. Till we start. So the horn goes off and am squatting over the dame proto potty. How is that for a start? We run out of the proto potty get whip off our warm layers and head for the start. Well with 10,000 runners we did not miss much and there were plenty of people still lined up trying to get over the starting line. It was dark when w started at 7:35 this morning. The huge group of people made it hard to find my pace. On the way over the Ambassador bridge was breath taking and the sun was coming up it was beautiful you could see both sky line the building off the city and hills on the other side. After getting over the bridge Linda caught up with me (she is good at hills). I stuck with her following her through Canada we were keeping the same pace with a little group and it kept me going. My shin pain was not so good this morning and it did not stop till we were over the bridge around mile 4. We stuck together the rest of the time and decided it would finish together. It was all adrenaline after mile 12. Running into Ford Field was awesome. The ramp in was steep no wonder the football players barrel in there. The finish line was at the 50 yard line. We did it in an awesome time for both of us, in under 1 hour and 50 min. Then we watched the winner of the full marathon come in 2:14 for him braking the record from 1980. We all got finisher medals I did not know we would get anything so that was awesome. Overall awesome experience and the rain held out for us temp was good too. Now I am beat a little soar, we are hanging in today watching some football and eating nachos.
So who is up for Disney Marathon 2007. We get a Mickey medal :)

2 Days away :)

Well I am ready for the 1/2 marathon. I know what I am wearing, to bad it is going to be cold and rainy. I go to Detroit tomorrow to get my bib and race packet. I hope we are not gone all day it is not often that I get to take a weekend off and with Danny working evenings we never have diner together. I am going with Linda from work she is running too. She is bringing her 2 girls, so it is a girl thing. My last run was great at about 7 miles in 56min. I am not running today or tomorrow so that I can rest my shins. Clint my physical therapist said I will be soar after the race to hold off running for at least a week. Hopefully with enough rest I can get the shin pain to stop. It is doing much better and when I am warmed up the pain goes away and definitely not as intense.

I told Danny today that we need date night back. It is real hard to have time for just the 2 of use when we work opposite schedules. We never have the same day off and I am gone for 16 hours at a time and he is out of the house during the week by 12pm. So along with a crap date life are sex life is not that better. It seems like it is always something. So we are working on that. I get home from Boston Thursday so we are going out to the post when Natasha goes to bed. Danny has the night off and his Dad is going to be staying here for the long weekend, so he is going to keep an eye on Natasha. Danny took his birthday off Nov. 7th and I do not know yet what I should do for his birthday. Our anniversary is Nov. 17th so we are defiantly going out that night. I called Danny at work and told him he had to come home because I was husband sick, it is like home sick but you miss your husband LOL. He got a kick out of it, I sure wish he could fly home with me. Well I am going to pack I fly out Monday and I do not want to worry about packing. I will still have to pack for Natasha but it wont take long.

Today was good not as emotional as past few days felt like a regular old day. The funeral was today my mom has been calling everyday but with all the family together they are keeping each other busy.

wow your hair is short!

This is a picture form the wedding Saturday night. See I buzzed his hair off.

Well I did my 7 mile run today. I used a heating pad to warm up my lower leg before heading out. We had frost on the grass and when I am cold the shins kill me. It only hurt the first half mile. Then I was flying did it in 1 hour 2 min, and that is with stop lights. I run another 7 miles Wednesday hopefully that will be another good run because last Friday sucked. The Boston morgue is still holding my uncle. We have no dates yet for services. They are having a funeral and then a memorial service on another day. I hope I still get to run in the 1/2 marathon. Hopefully we will know something tomorrow. Well I am off I have to make an order of ice cream cone cup cakes for a preschool birthday party.

sad day

I do not no where to start. My Uncle Leverett was murdered Friday morning. I found out last night. It took the police a day to identify his body. He was found Friday afternoon when a dumpster was dumped into the Taunton land fill. They police kept calling my grandma asking questions. They wanted her to tell them whet his tattoos looked like. An autopsy was done, and he died from blunt trauma to the chest and then his body was dumped into a dumpster. My mom said they are holding his body in Boston till they are done collecting evidence. We do not know when we will be having the funeral. I will have to wait for some dates so I can book a flight to Boston. Me and Natasha will stay at my moms. Danny has to work and we can not afford to buy two tickets. The thought of going without him makes me sick to my stomach. My twin sister will be going with us so that will help I think. But I want Danny with me. I made it through my 16 hour day at work today. The morning was rough and I found myself crying randomly between patients. It did not help that Sundays I work alone, so nobody was there to distract me. Well I felt like I had to get that out. Natasha woke up at 3am and then I had trouble falling back to sleep. I get up at 4:30am to get to work, so it has been a long day. My eyes feel like sand paper. Not that I am in the habit of sticking sand paper in my eyes. Danny and Natasha are sick soar throats and coughing. Danny has to be careful because of his asthma he closes up quick when he is sick. I have to take Natasha into the doctor in the morning, she seems to be getting worse instead of better. OK I better try to got to bed. Good night.

I got a new order today 24 for cup cakes for my boss Deb. Her son is turning 4 and his preschool is celebrating. She want 24 cone cups cakes so I get to try out a new recipe. I love to bake at night and I am hoping the holidays bring in more orders. I do it for fun for friends and family. My aunt Ella is sending me fresh cranberries from her bog back home in MA. Jake wants incredible cup cakes, like the movie, but his mom talked him out of it said the kids would stain there clothes on red frosting. So for his birthday I am making him a cake for them to have at home. Here are pictures of the three special birthday cakes I have made.

Woo hoo home alone :)

So yesterday was super busy. I didn't want to get out of bed but I had to run to work to get TB tested. It was a fun day I got to hang out with Lori (my twin). We went to target and got Natasha a puppy costume for Halloween. I still could not find a brown hooded sweatshirt to make her a football, so puppy it is. She loves dogs and its nice and warm. I do not know how she will do trick or treating she is still a little young but we will give it a try.

Physical therapy went good. Clint has me running 7 miles every other day now. The 1/2 marathon is only 9 days away. I ate good and am excited to say it has been 1 week since I returned from the cruise and I lost the 7 pounds I gained in 7 days. I was eating bad when my mom came to town then the cruise just did me in. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and at least my dress will fit (sigh of relief).

Lori dropped out of our BFL competition, because she drinks to much to stay on it everyday. Her own words that what she said. Anyway that leaves me and Danny and that's going good we stay within a few points of each other so it keeps us on our toes. I ran my 7 miles today. Oh may was it hard I was just too tired today. Felt slow time was bad took me 1 hour 20 min. I work 16 hours on Sunday so I not sure if I can get my run in. Shins are doing good last part of the run I did not even feel them.

Danny and Natasha are at the gym without me so I have to go enjoy my empty house this never happens!!

Snip snip ;)

I did it ate clean all day. I can tell I am on a roll I just feel really into it. I am getting very excited about the marathon (half that is :(. I felt fine after my short 4 mile run yesterday so I went ahead and did my 8 mile run today. It felt good nice and easy no problems with the shins only felt them on and off not to much pain.

I lost my head today I can not remember shit. I take a lot of trips to the store because I always forget something. I had TB shot at work yesterday and I was supposed to get it checked today. I did not even think about it totally forgot.
Well the dumbest thing I did today was shave all Danny's hair off. Yup buzzed it all off. He asked me to do his hair and handed me the buzzer. I thought I was taking the protector off and took off the comb. I had half his head done when I said um was I supposed to make it this short. Opps in my defense I was still over heated from my 8 mile run. At least it looks really good on him.

So need a haircut ;)

Babycakes :)

I sat in awe today watching Natasha play. It is absolutely amazing how much stuff she knows. Kids learn so fast. One year ago she could not even burp on her own and now she knows how to bust in on you in the bathroom and how to open the DVD player. I think she says a new word everyday. The best part is the laugh, she laughs at everything a big deep belly laugh it is so cute. I know I am biased but she is amazing. Can you tell I have been missing her.

A picture of Natasha chasing the camera!!!

My workout today was chest, shoulders and triceps.

Chest:bench 10,8,6
incline bench 10,8,6
pectoral fly 10
dumbbell fly 10
shoulders:lateral raise 10,8,6
dumbbell press 10,8,6
triceps:kick backs 10,8,6
cable rope press 10,8,6

I ran 4 miles. I am bummed out that I did not get to do 8. My sister had to go and with no one to watch Natasha I had to stop at 4. Next time I will have to do 8. If that does not hurt my shins to much maybe I will do another 8 this week instead of 6. I will see how I feel. Today was great hardly felt the shins, the treadmill is more forgiving then the road. Glad I got both workouts in.

I ate a cookie at the store today. I do not even care that I did, guess my heart is not into the nutrition part of my plan. Oh well can not make myself give it my all if my hearts not in it. I will get there.

Playing catch up

OK this is the first chance I have gotten to sit done. The vacation was great lots of sun. Snorkeling was amazing and I got to watch a big fish eat little fish. Toward the end of the cruise hurricane Tammy sent us 6 foot swells so the boat was rocking. We were all glad it settled before dinner. We met some great people, this one couple in particular we all clicked it was fun to have other people to hang out with. Doug and Shannon were also away from there one year old for the first time. They are super sweet the type of people you feel like you have known for a long time. We grew closer after Shannon had a miscarriage on day two. It was awful nothing the doctor on board could do to confirm this. I am still waiting to here from her hope they are ok it was a sad evening when they told us her spotting turned into full period. My cell phone was one of the few that actual worked out there so she got to call her own doctor and sister. She is inspirational through the entire ordeal she looked on the bright side thanking god for her 1 year old son Clayton. I am tearing up just thinking about it.

On a lighter note my mom had a blast watching Natasha. At times Natasha would sit in front of the front door and call mama. I shocked to find out that she had a way to express she missed me. I missed so much we are glad we went for 5 days we would not have made it 7. I got to play with her a lot today we are both worn out. I had to work my 16 hour weekends so I was still missing her today. She got so worn out she feel asleep in my arms, she never does that. I still have to find her a Halloween costume. I wanted to make her a football, but never knew how hard it would be to find a brown hoody.
Running is going good still painful but not getting worse and recovering quick. I have to up the ice I have been slacking with that. The 1/2 marathon is coming up so Clint has me doing alternating 8 then 6 miles every other day. The Family challenge is not fairing so well. My sister already gave up. Danny is bummed no points for food or exercise today, but in his defense he had blood work done today them an emergency visit to the dentist for cracked chipped tooth that had to have the root capped. Just a bad day to start. I have a wedding Sat. and I am dreading putting on my dress. Ya we both have some vacation pounds to lose. Who new cruises had 24 room service and chocolate buffet. We told our selves we were going to go and enjoy and no fretting over cruise pounds but its hard not to fret when the jeans are a little snug.

I run my first 8 mile in a long time tomorrow hope it goes well. Oh and one more thing I am I lost last week but am again winning this week in fantasy football, so excited to beat those boys.

HE GOT IN YESSSSS!!!!!!

Oh my we are so excited. Danny got into Radiology school for Jan 3rd. For the first time since we packed up our house we know where we are going to be living for the next few years...It is such a relief. When school is done we will go home to the east coast. I sure do miss that ocean. Well I am off to bed I am all done I went on a cruise and then came home and did my two 16 hour shifts so I will check back in Monday. Good night.
